A swivel coupler, also known as a universal coupler or angle coupler, is a key connecting component in construction scaffolding. It is used to connect two steel pipes that intersect at any angle, adapting to complex structures such as diagonal braces and scissor bracing. It is a critical part ensuring the stability of scaffolding.
I. Core Applications
• Core Function: Connects parallel or inclined members, enabling flexible angle adjustment from 0 to 180° to suit irregular scaffolding structures.
• Typical Scenarios: Connection of diagonal bracing members to vertical/horizontal bars; lateral bracing reinforcement for open-shaped/linear double-row scaffolding; angle adjustment of temporary support structures.
• Code Requirements: The centerline of the swivel coupler should be no more than 150mm from the main node; the lap length of vertical bars shall be at least 1m, with 3 swivel couplers fixed at equal intervals; the edge of the end cover shall be at least 100mm from the end of the bar.
